Robert R. Allen

Robert R. Allen was appointed by the City Council on October 4, 2011 to fill the two-year term vacated by Dr. Sharon Goodman. Bob has lived in Arcadia since 1951 and was employed by the telephone company for 46 years holding the following positions:  Installer, repairman, local manger, and district commercial manager for four counties including DeSoto, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades.  He also held the position of Government Affairs which gave him the responsibility to represent the company with both local and state official on matters concerning the company.

 
 Bob has also previously served on the Arcadia City Council and four years on the DeSoto County Commission.
