ATTENTION: YARD DEBRIS PICK UP

Hurricane Irma debris removal has started in the City of Arcadia for yard debris.  ALL THAT IS BEING PICKED UP AT THIS TIME IS YARD DEBRIS (SUCH AS TREE BRANCHES).  The progression of the work will be as follows:  1) NW section; 2) SW section; 3) SE section; and 4) NE section. 

PLEASE NOTE:  THIS SCHEDULE IS ONLY FOR CITY OF ARCADIA RESIDENTS.

CITY COUNCIL

Robert W. Heine Jr.

Robert W. Heine Jr. has been a resident of the City of Arcadia for 53 years. He has been married to Lois Clemons Heine for almost 35 years and they have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.

Robert graduated from Desoto County High School in 1970. He obtained his Associate of Arts degree from South Florida Junior College in 1972 and graduated from the University of South Florida in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. Robert also completed the Certified Public Manager program through Florida State University.

Robert started his professional career as a teacher with the Desoto County School District for 6 years. In 2010, Robert retired from the Florida Department of Corrections after 29 years of service. At the time of his retirement he was an Assistant Warden at Hardee Correctional Institution.

Robert’s civic experience included serving on the Desoto County School Board from 1992-2004. He is currently serving on the Desoto Memorial Hospital Board of Directors having been appointed in 2015. He has also been active with Arcadia Main Street.
